Perfect Abstractions is expanding and needs a new full time Ignition project developer in the near future.
Job Description
An Ignition Project Developer creates, designs, programs and manages custom Ignition projects for clients.
An Ignition Project Developer is often in direct contact with a client helping the client achieve things and get things done.
The most important part of the job is maintaining a high quality level of communication with the client throughout the course of a project. An Ignition Project Developer uses his/her technical skill, technical quality and speed of development to produce technical results that are well communicated to the client.
Through training, experience and expectation, a new developer becomes an Ignition expert.
We take on a large variety of Ignition projects in a variety of industries. We are not industry specific. We focus on using Ignition to create solutions.
We take on small, medium, big, easy and hard projects. Because of our programming and Ignition expertise we take on technically challenging projects.
Not all, but many Ignition projects are developed remotely.
Required:
- Ability to speak and write English well.
- Can communicate well with people.
- Ability to learn new things quickly.
- Understands computer programming and can write a computer program.
- Is available full time (30 to 40 or more hours a week) to do the job.
- Can get work done (complete projects).
- Can respond to communication and development requests quickly.
Not required but useful for the job:
- Computer programming background.
- Knowledge of and experience with Ignition.
- Python programming knowledge and experience.
- Java knowledge and experience.
- PLC programming knowledge and experience.
- Manufacturing knowledge and experience.
- Software development knowledge and experience.
Training
Before working on paid projects with clients a new developer goes through various training to improve his/her skill and get familiar with working on Ignition projects.
The training includes doing all the SCADA courses on Inductive University, and may include working with an experienced Ignition project developer on a project, one-on-one training sessions where an experienced developer shows how existing projects are implemented, and doing training projects.
